Slow game for last saves, not old ones...

Hi everyone, Happy Rabbit Year!
I don't really understand why, but I just can't play forward the game, as it gets really slow when I move the mouse, and my team walks then stops then walks then stops all the time, as if there is a kind of frame rate problem.
The thing is, when I load an early save, it works fine, so where does the problem come from? Is it one of the new characters that joined my team that is buggy (Selence for ex), or too many traps left around, or...?
Please give me some advice, as I'm stuck otherwise
Thanks for any advice,
Eden.

Are you using any mods?
Have you changed any BG2 files?
Have you patched the game?
Followed by
What system are you using?

The game is patched and I'm using many mods. No manual file modifications, and using XP SP2.
I'm thinking, could it have something to do with the bags of holding?
I think I have 4 of them (one that I added with shadowkeeper for convenience, the others I got from quests), they are nearly all full of arrows, potions and stuff...

While I have no clue why your game is slowed when you move the mouse, other than what stworca ment, I did remember a note I read in the Valen readme:
NOTE: You may also want to install the "no drow avatars" component of the
Ease-of-Use mod when you install Valen, or a bug in BG2 may cause her to
"stutter" (walk, stop, walk, stop) in the Underdark. This bug actually
bites anyone who can regenerate.
Depends on your party but it seemed like a thing to point out. Honestly I never encounterd this problem, but then I never played with NPC's that can regenerate. I did have a ring of regeneration equipped on multiple occasions but this never happened so I suspect it shouldn't be from an item but rather a basic part of the NPC.

Just how many items are in your bags of holding? This may very well be the problem.
Or using one too many mod. It happens with BG2

Two of the bags are full! The other ones quite a lot too, so I'm trying to use more of their content now.
After cleaning all the traps I had set in the city, changing maps and chapter, the game is doing better now, but still, it's not perfect... I will try to lighten my bags to see if it gets better.
Thanks a lot for answering
Cheers,
Doudou.
