Game crashes after intro

I've got a serious problem. I create my Jedi character and start a new game. Everything's fine till intro ends. The game should switch to Ebon Hawk cockpit and tutorial with T3M4 shoud start, but the game crashes with a "send/don't send the message" error.
I tried to upgrade game version from 1.0 (2.00.424) to 1.0a (2.01.420), but upgrade process stops at 33% with error saying "old file not found, however file with the same name found, no upgrade done because file contents do not match". Game launcher says my language version is English, so I don't understand why UK version of the patch doesn't fit. File which is screwed is Manual.pdf
Could someone pls help to fix that crash problem or send me that Manual file?

What are the specifications of your computer? The only time I had this problem was when using a PC with integrated graphics, i.e. the graphic 'card' was part of the mother board. I found that the game needs a separate graphic card.

First thing I'd try is switching off movies.
With modern hardware there shouldn't be performance issues, I play it on a netbook.

so do I, but I made sure it didn't have integrated graphics when I bought it for just this reason. You really do need a dedicated graphic card with it's own memory for this game, shared memory doesn't work, or it never has for me.

Diksha: 1.0b (2.10.427) is the highest version.
galraen: I have an Asus F3E notebook, it has an integrated graphic card from Intel, but I had no problems playing KotOR I, and KotOR II is practically based on the same engine, so I don't know why this game shouln't work. Besides there's a guy on youtube with short gameplay video, playing KotOR on the same graphic card (maybe on the same notebook) as mine is.
BTW tell me someone why I had to wait bloody six months to get an answer

It may be based on the same engine, but it was made by a different, and IMHO, a very inferior company.
My netbook is an Asus X32A, and I love the little darling!
PS I answered when I saw MalaksBane's reply when I checked 'New Posts'. I must have missed your original post as I was travelling at the time, and I try to avoid necrophilia!

Ah, a chance for a mini-rant.
Anything on the first page is fair game, even if it dates back a year on a slow forum such as this. As soon as forums start using sensible date formats I might consider looking at them.
