If you haven't encountered a quest, how would you know? 
Have you got the latest patch? When you exit the Pocket Plane is it giving you any choices, or automatically taking you back?

Same for me. I've killed Gromnir and still can only go back and forth from Saradush and Pocket Plane...it's quite frustrating.

Did either of you talk to Melissan? You have to agree to help her out after you've defeated Gromnir...she tells you to search for the key to Yaga Shura's invincibility, which should then allow you to leave your Pocket Plane into the Marching Mountains instead. If you didn't have those dialogue threads, that might explain the problem...

Actually, I had to uninstall and then reinstall the entire game (after moving my saved games folder to another location). I was missing about half of all the conversations both with Melissan and Sarevok, I have now learned. So, that's how I fixed this problem for me.
