Ok so i am running through TOEE for the nth time but as a party of all Half Orcs. The start up alignment is chaotic neutral but the majority of the party is chaotic good minus the druid (CN). I have a 1/2Orc B1/F7, 1/2Orc B1/W7, 1/2Orc B1/D7, 1/2Orc B1/C7 (of Kord), 1/2Orc B1/F3/Rogue3. Got through the earth temple level and was on the way back to Hommlet for some reason when the party had an enocunter pause on the map. They already bumped into Zaxis so it wasnt that, and they had not yet freed Thrommel or the elves. I was a bit curious and it was an adventuring party made up of a dwarf, elf, halfling, half elf and human. After a nice chit-chat the party demanded gold coins for wasting their time. Needless to say 5 1/2Orcs do not part with their monies freely and a fight ensued. After one round all 5 members of that party were dead. My LG Paladin party never encountered them, my Evil necromancer party never encountered them, my pure half-elf party never encountered them, my racialy diverse party never encountered them. What made this party encounter them or is it all left up to chance?

I think its up to chance i encountered them while with a chaotic good mixed races party while trying to trigger the elf nobles reward encounter was surprised too have not seen them since then
