I have the good old games download of BG. Do I need to add anything else? I don't want to add mods, but some fixes of bugs or whatever making things more as they were intended is desirable.

I like to use the "dudlyville fixpacks"

Into and download to them here dudleyville.com | Dudleyfix | What is Dudleyfix? (I use fixpacks 1, 2, and 3)

If I play tutu (I like easytutu), then I install tutufix, easytutuDegreenifier, and EasyTutuHotfixes (which mainly solves the bereghost save game bug)

Lastly, For BG2 itself, in case you want to know, I use the "bg2_fixpack-v9.exe" fixpack from G3 here G3: Downloads (scroll down to BG2 Fixpack)

I hope this helps!

what is tutu? I downloaded from GOG because even though I have the game it is the one that first came out and you have to change the discs all the time.

Don't install anything else. It works well unchanged.

Bgi gog

I have been playing GOG version because I wanted it all together. I am done with everything up until you have to go to the Bandits camp. I am only at level 5 on most of my characters. AS I vaguely remember before I had someone that could use fireball. I have the normal characters, Minsc, Dyneria, Khalid,Imoen Jaheira and my character a fighter. We are having to go very slowly because i don;t seem to advance very well. Is It me?

I just started replaying the GOG ToTSC, and I thought I would try Tutu since I'd read good things about it on Dudleyville. I installed GOG ToTSC and then BG2. Then, Dudleyfixes 1 and 2. Then, EasyTutu and EasyTutuHotfixes.

The process was very easy and only took about 30 minutes (excluding download times) from start to finish. Anyways, it's running very well for me. Oh, and I think the fixes I installed only fix things to make the game as the developers intended. EasyTutu lets you run ToTSC within the BG2 interface. It's supposed to also let you run with the higher BG2-supported resolutions, but mine seems to be the same as ToTSC.
