I had already accepted the Thinned Blood quest and went to the diner to investigate further. I talked to Doris and received the bribe but did not have the option to talk to her about Lily. I went on about my way thinking to try it again later and the quest has disappeared from my quest log and I can't get it from E. again. Would really appreciate any assistance anyone could give me.

And one more thing, I tried to enable the console in my shortcut and it's not working. It says the path or filename is incorrect. This is how it looks with -console on it:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Vampire - Bloodlines\vampire.exe"-console
Am I doing something wrong. This is on a windows 7-64 bit OS running VTMB in compatability mode for XP service pack 3

the -console needs...

...a space between the vampire.exe" and the -console, so it should look like
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Vampire - Bloodlines\vampire.exe" -console
