Build: Sun Dwarf

Ok looking to share and tweak my shadow of udrentide build, Sun dwarf. There are some restrictions I have in mind. He has to be both a cleric (earth/sun) and a dwarven defender. He must dual wield a two handed axe which is called an urgosh in later editions of dnd. He must attain level 6 dwarven defender somewhat early because there isn't much xp in shadows of undrendtide.

Here's what I have so far (from memory so maybe a mistake)

Dwarf
S16
D14
C17 (+1 at 12)
I 10
W 12 (+1 at 4 and 8)

Level 1 ranger; feat exotic weapon
Level 2-9 cleric; feat dodge, toughness, ?(power attack?); now at 7 BAB
Level 10-15 dwarven defender; improved two weapon fighting, improved critical urgosh...
Level 16 etc... (I'll figure that out)

So any concerns for my build? I took spot/hide/move silently/discipline as my level 1 ranger (I can restart) and plan to take spellcraft and concentration as cleric. More discipline and tumble as DD.

Not sure I would opt for Ranger as a 1st Class.

Fighter makes more sense as it is the favored class for Dwarves, so you will not incur an XP penalty when you multi-class to Cleric and as a Dwarven defender the point is to be an immovable barrier more suited to a tank - fighter than a Ranger who relys more on the AC bonus of high dexterity.

Not sure how you can Dual-Wield a two-handed axe in NWN? I suppose mods must be available as far as I recall it didn't have the Monkey-Grip feat.

If you are going to be a flat-footed fighter/dwarven defender, then take Power Attack and get Cleave and Great Cleave ASAP - having played a well buffed cleric with great cleave through some Mods it can be devastating as crowd control.

If you are going to be heavily armored, then I would not bother taking Dodge - but take Toughness to increase HP.

If you opt for Fighter you can also remove a point of Dexterity and add to either constitution or wisdom.

That is my two-pennies worth. Hope you have a good build.

Oops, forgot you need the dodge feat for Dwarven Defender.

I'm not so sure the exotic feat for Dwarven Waraxes is worth it. Battleaxes, or even the two-handed great-axes, you could use with ranger or fighter with the free martial feat - good dwarven waraxes are unlikely to appear (in SoU) as they were not introduced until HoTU.

It was handy in NWN2 that Dwarven Waraxes were considered martial weapons for Dwarves, but exotic to every other race.

its not a two handed axe, rather its a haft with both ends have axes and those are dual wielded Blade<-----hands------>Blade

The reason for ranger is that I don't have enough stat points to get the ambidexterity feat, but ranger it comes automatic even if you do not fulfill the prerequisites.

Ranger also grants both ambidex and two weapon fighting at level one whereas fighter only grants one feat. Ranger also gives me favored enemy undead.

The exotic weapon is for flavor rather than powergaming... This isn't a powergaming build... It has constraints of cleric of sun and earth,,, second axe double weapon,,, third dwarven defender 6 before the end of game.
