I've been having this problem for ages since I (had to) installed NWN on Windows Vista. I looked for solutions, but even now all I get is search results for Linux related problems/solutions.

The videos that play when you launch NWN work, but after that all the videos that play at the beginning / end of chapters have only audio. I can hear them being played and I got the weird feeling the game isn't focussing on the video properly or something.

Has anyone ever come across this and perhaps know of a solution?

I had lots of problems running NWN on a Vista laptop. Can't remember so many issues with movies, but I would get framerate problems, random crashes to desktop etc.

Another issue could be with NWN hating ATI cards.

There you go, yes I do. A mobile radeon actually, which is probably even worse. I solved most video problems along the way and it pretty much works like normal now. Despite having an ATI card I have no problems running the videos seperately from the game. That's all I can think of.

If anyone else knows of anything that might help me play the videos inside the game, let me know. Like I said, they do seem to be playing. I hear audio, but it's like the game alt-tabbed to the loading screen instead.
