Deus ex: Human revolution: MEH...

I have now finished Deus ex 3 for the first time and I really don't understand what all the hype is about. I have played many games during my life and it seems that there was no real innovation, just like with most other games during the last years. I think Witcher 2 is the only game with something new this year, like how different choices could lead to a completely different second chapter and final endings. I even think that I enjoyed Invisible war more than Human revolution, where although it was not great then it was still decent enough at that time.
The good side:
The environment/level design and how there were many routes in which the player could take, so that a stealth must have been an unique experience for the player.
The bad side:
Too linear plot (did not actually see any alternate choices in the main plot, except that it could be persuaded some characters to comply with ones demands or not).
Too few side quests: There were not that many side-quests and most them were rather uninteresting, but even for a different words then their approach was mostly the same (like just go to some place and seek for some info, and return back).
Too lifeless cities: Like when there is had access to cities then there are about a hundreds of people that do not speak directly with our character, but it is mostly about maybe 4-8 people that do actually give us choices in saying anything.
Conclusion:
The gameplay itself was good when travelling through locations, but everything in regard to the story, the choices, and dialogue was too uninspired.
Deus ex 3 is not bad or worse than other games on the market, but it is still not the game one hoped for.
