Silly Question

I only began playing a few days ago and I've run into a few places that I don't have quests for, and I've gone into and cleaned out some areas that I didn't have quests for. Is that a bad idea, or should I just stick with the stories. I didn't think about it before, but I didn't know if I would mess up a quest later on by cleaning an area out before I had a quest to go there.

From what I can tell, if you clear out an area and then later get a quest for it, the area will repopulate with enemies and treasures, so there isn't any harm in exploring early.

Um, well, I have done at least two places involving quests without actually having the quest, and I have picked up quest stuff from them; the game just automatically starts the quest... whether you want it or not!

yeah this

you can get the quest in the dungeon from a book or a scroll you find somewhere where its hard to miss, usually close to the entrance...but you can find lots of ruins/dungeons without quests(at least I cleared a few containing word walls and/or masks(dont sell them!))

those are usually radiant quests, and instances are reused a lot for those(it is noticable especially in the companions chain, they sent me into the same dungeon at least 4 times...the 1 with the cages and wolfs and a master vampire)

Great! That's good to know that I can do real exploring and not ruin the storyline.

Thanks for the feedback.
