I noticed mp3 files in some folders...can they be replaced by your own music? How can you change the songs played inside clubs?
PS:I tried replacing downtown theme, but the game crashed.I restored the original sound file and everything works fine again! :)

Yes, but you need to make sure the mp3 format is the same with no additional playlist or DRM stuff attached. These make the game crash and the WMP is know to do something like this!

I tried replacing downtown theme with a song, but then there was no background music at all. When renaming it to downtown_theme,the game crashed. Also,I tried replacing the Chasm-Isolated song with another one,and then in the Asylum club, there was no song played at all. What am I doing wrong...?Thanks for answering! :)

I haven't replaced single songs myself, but I guess you must make sure in a program like Audacity that name, bitrate and everything is exactly the same.

I'm sure that Wesp5 is more knowledgeable about this than I, but just so that this is clear: VtM:B is really picky about sounds. Even just playing the built-in sound/ music in WMP or WinAmp can make changes to the file that can cause the game to crash or be silent.

Before trying to change anything, make sure that the songs are backed-up, and use an additional copy for listening purposes. And as Wesp5 said, use a clean audio editing program to make sure that files are identical, and have no extra information. This includes stripping out ID3 style track information.

The Camarilla Edition mod changes most music in the game, and you can edit one of the mod config files to use different music files (at least, you could do that in some previous version, I didn't really follow them lately).
You could give it a try.
