help how does alchemy work?

I have alchemy on my wizard but dont know where to go from there. sry i tried the alchemy skill thread and it made me more confused. i have searched with my wizard on the outside with trees at area but says "searching...." but never finds anything. i must be doing something wrong. i hope there are enough people coming to this forum if not i may not figure it out on my own. ty for anyone help.

i read that there is a lab in drider lair. are there more like near the beginning chp and middle chpts

Actually I think you use it to identify potions and to help solving at least a quest where you quote.
Not one of the best skill to invest on.

Alchemy is only used for identifying potions and using alchemy labs, thieves need high alchemy skill to take the "envenom weapon" feat.
