How do you handle skeleton archers?

My character has 60 heavy armor, but can't carry all the pieces I think I am up to 18 armor. I have about 50 block.
The skeletal archers (at least in MGSO) stagger me again and again before I reach them. My agility is 65 and I am level 6.
Any ideas? I can just try to find something else to do, but there is a point where you are just bouncing back and forth between combats that you cannot handle.

Don't run straight at them, do zigzags. The AI basically aims for where you will be when the arrow hits if you keep running in the direction you're running. So constantly switching directions will get the archers to miss a lot. If you run straight they will just hit you all the time. Same thing if you try to flank him by trying to run just left or just right. If you zig zag he'll aim right, but by the time he shoots you would have changed your direction to left, and so on and so forth until you get close to him and then you can just clobber him with your weapon of choice.

Nice, thanks I'll try that. I managed to lure them out into the corridor which also worked well. Those magical arrows they have hurt, but they are good loot.

Yeah, agility according to the wiki. I have (had) a pretty decent agility 60 I think. I got my heavy armor and block wrong. It was 45 and 30.

It was 50-53 when I fought the skeleton. I think it's 56 now. I took it as a major attribute in a custom class.

Well those archers are tricky, I remember that much. You're probably seeing some benefits from those stats, but not enough. Try some stat / attribute score increasing potions when you see one. Zigzagging a bit should help you a lot though. Another tactic that works is to let them come to you. Run back and hide just behind a corner. They will get really close trying to get you in their POV again. If you can cast them, summons should help to draw away their arraws too. Cast something that has a specific elemental resistance to the type of arrows they use. Can't really go wrong that way.

Nice advice. I discovered the hiding technique. And now the level scaling means that they are bye bye at least where I have vistited. For a ranged 'boss' I now have 80% chameleon from a gadgent, although it takes forever to recharge even with enchant as a major. I just got soul trap to start having recharge, so that will be fun once I train mysticism.

iv actually never had a problem with the skele archers but i myself am an archer but even at level 1 i find it really easy to just shoot them with a bow and arrow straffing left and right as i shoot and i was only lvl 1
