I am looking to start a romance with Jaheira that I can carry into ToB. A few questions:
1. Aerie is hitting on me. How long can I play along with her and still get dialogue with Jaheira
2. Should I try to "complete" the romance before Spellhold/Underdark? I want to go there as soon as I get $15,000, but I don't want to screw up the romance. I heard that romances turn off as soon as you get to spellhold.

A second romance won't start as long as you have one going--unless you install Balderdash's multiple romance fix.

All the romances hit on you for a time, eventually you will be called to make a choice. Don't worry, it's so obvious you can't miss it

The Jaheira romance in ToB will be active during Chapters 2, 3, 5 and 6. In chapter 5 dialogue will only happen when you are in certain areas.

The romance needs to be concluded by chapter 7, however if your goal is simply to carry it on to ToB, you don't actually need to get through the entire romance, I would reccomend you do though, it's a lot more fun that way
