Heya. I put off getting ToB for ages. Now I have it, I can't stand that bloody Cespenar's voice. WTF do I have to do to silence him (without ramming a blade into his impish hide)?

:D

I kind of thought he was kind of cute. :)

Youre welcome to your opinion, friend, but his voice really gets my goat. :D

Ok the voice is annoying, but the jokes are great.
Esp. when you get the ravager!! :D

This annoyed me: I got an option to ask him if he had a list of things that he could make and I thought hey this way I won't have to through it all time and time again but the when I asked him that he said no!! Why put that option there in the first place? Grrr

Yeah, what's up with this? It was just unnecessary to have to go through all your belongings each time. I couldn't click through each dialogue fast enough. There was one quote that I got a kick out of each time:
"Oh, it's tome of golems. BORING."

There were a few times after killing a boss and going into "vision mode" with the Solar that Cespenar happened to be right at the Solar's feet. I thought it'd be cool if he popped in with a quip whenver a stirring vision happened.

I think he's cute.
So sue me.

Anyway, the obvious way to avoid having to listen to the imp is just to turn off the speakers when you start a dialogue with him. Cunning, huh?

Ode: No one threatened a law suit. You're welcome to your opinion.

I took it for granted that I wouldn't have to say "how can I stop his voice, and his voice alone - no-one elses - without turning my speakers off (which silences everyone) or anything daft like that. i.e. susbtituting some sort of file or script that removes only his, IMO annoying, voice."

But that, albeit small, request was obviously too much to ask for.

:p :D

Everyone else is welcome to my opinion, too. ;)

The obvious thing would be to turn them back on once you're done talking with Cespenar. If you really want to shut him up for good have one of your mages cast Shapeshift, and repeatedly use the Mind Flayer's intelligence drain on him.

No, I maintain my right to completely ignore your opinion. :p

What can I say, you must have the patience of a saint - I really can't be arsed to turn the speakers off and on just for one lousy imp who I can probably just remove the sounds for. You'll see, my way of thinking is much easier.

Nice quasi-double post BTW. :D I repeat:

"without ramming a blade into his impish hide" - or killing him by any other means. I only want to shut him up, not remove his rather neat forging abilities.

There are those that work hard and those that work smart. ;)

personally, I have a use for Cespanar.

When things aren't going my way, I've had a long day fighting giants, or am just a little bored, I beat the hell out of him :D

If you are speaking to me, yes, I am aware of my destination when I leave this life.
