Sarevok or Jaheira
Should I dump Jaheira for Sarevok? It's a hard question for me. Sarevok is a much better fighter, but Jaheira's Druid spells and high level abilities are really cool. Right now I have PC, Minsc, Viconia, Jaheira, and Imoen. What should I do?

Well...As you didn't state what you're PC's class is, it's a tough call.
But as you already have Viconia in your party, jaheiras clerical abilities are somewhat redundant. Sure, the few druid-only spells are nice, but you have to ask yourself: are those few spells worth a great fighter?
Something to note though: when you get Sarevok, he'll be an 18th level fighter. It's seems that you're party's a little bit higher level than that as you've already got special abilities.
But in my opinion, ToB offers a lot of mêlée fighting, and Sarevok is just a lord of destruction in that aspect.
But as first mentioned: You didn't state what class you're PC is. If he's a fighterclass (fighter/ranger/paladin ect.) them I wouldn't change him for Jaheira, but if he's not, then I would.
Alternativly, as User suggested, you could swich him for Minsc if you are a fighter yourself.
And then there's the roleplaying aspect of it. (If you're into that) how attached are you to the characters already in your party?

Hello on you all!!!!!
Role-playing considerations aside, I suggest trading Minsc for Sarevok. But if your PC has ANY worth as a melee fighter, you could drop Jaheira as well. With Sarevok, you have a tank, Imoen a spellcaster who can avoid most forms of damage (you do have the Staff of the Magi, right?). Viconia should have a low enough AC by now that she won't die in combat, and your PC (whatever he/she is) will hopefully round out your party.
I really enjoyed playing ToB with just 4 characters (PC Kensai/Mage, Korgan, Imoen, and Viconia). It wasn't hard to get them all equipped with Boots of Speed and things moved along at a nice pace. There's enough items with regeneration benefits (and potions of healing) that you can pretty much do without healing spells.
Good luck, whatever you decide.

If you can stand her constant tendency to behave like a female dog, viccy is an exceptional char. give her ring of gaxx, human skin armor, amulet of 10% magic resist, and shield of the lost and she is immune to magic!!! with the lolith mace for poison attacks, and of course mace of disruption, she is a mage lich killer supreme. so what if her stats stink? She is immune to magic!!! with armor of faith and righteous magic, she can bash all day.
Savvy is so much better than minsc, its pityful. minsc has the distinction of being the worst fighter in the game, even ano weenie is better. check my post a few months back on making minsc semi decent, its really a major task. it consists of using potions of insight and quest level spell wish to give him temp 18 wisdom, and then filling up his cleric spell slots and using the rest ability in wish to make him a temporary anomen! such a bum!
Savvy will be a superb killer, just make sure he has helm of charm immunity!!! Savvys one weakness is he is at low levels, really vulnerable to charm dominate spells.
I personally recommned korgy as main tank. you get him early, so you can build up levels, and the little bugger makes all sorts of saving throws. give him some dual wield and crossbow skills, and give him crom and axe of unyeilding and he will happy bash thru any thing!
my main party consists of
sorc, me
aerie
jaheiera
korgy
jan
immie.
aerie and jahiera together can be an effective substitute for viccy. and I just cannot stand viccy. give jan human skin, holy avenger and some magic resist junk and he gets up to 90% invulnerable to magic, and with str enhancers he can actually do ok with holy avenger.

My PC is a Dual-Class fighter/mage (I used shadowkeeper to make him a Tiefling) . Anyway, I plan to turn Sarevok good (not making him take the oath), and I'm romancing Viconia, so she'll turn good after I squash Yaga-Shura. Unfortunately, when I was battling the twisted rune, the mage with the Staff of Magi got hit with a fatal Cone of Cold which smashed her and the staff to pieces.

Saravok is especially lethal with the +6 ravager. Whirlwind sets your attacks to 10 no matter the weapon type so the 2 handed weapons actually get a bigger boost from whirlwind than duel weilding. The ravager decapitates 10% so with 10 att per round, its almost a done deal. Also i noticed for some reason that the ravager seems to decapitate much much much more than the axe of unweilding, has anyone else noticed this?
I discovered it while trying some interparty fighting (had a half orc beserker with the AoU and savvy with the ravager) . Saravok got a vorpal hit nearly every fight while my bezerker only got 1 vorpal hit in a dozen or so fights.

Actually, the best item to give Viconia is the Cloak of Balduran. Coupled with her innate 65% MR, the additional 25% offered by the Cloak gives 90% MR without any other items. Give her the 10% MR amulet and she becomes immune to magic.
And that's without the +1 AC bonus.

The Axe of the Unyielding allows a saving throw against a vorpal hit, whereas the Ravager doesn't.Originally posted by Lykwid:

What happened here was the gradual habituation of the people, ... to receiving decisions deliberated in secret; to believing that the situation was so complicated that the government had to act on information which the people could not understand, or so dangerous that, even if he people could understand it, it could not be released because of national security.

@Ode: Where can you find the Cloak of Balduran? I thought it was a BG1-only item.

It is, but it's still in the data files, so you can cheat it in.Originally posted by MegaToerist:

I would definitly take Sarevok, It is irritating to use spells in every battle, i only use it on mayor battles, and i had Korgan Sarevok and Myself, a berzerker/cleric. If you ask me 3 fighters is very recommended, and you dont have to rest after each battle.
