The BG team had once said that this will be the end of the Child of Bhaal series and if there was to be a BG3, it would be about something else. so what would you guys hope the game to be about. I really hope it will be BG3:Ruler of the gates. Imagine being Baldurs Gate ruler and wage war against Amn(Complete what Sarevok failed to do)
Or simply get like 1,000,000 gold in tax revenue every week

Regarding sequels and junk. I personally think that the BG series could have been done a bit better in just doing the titles.
This may be spamming, but in the BG2 board, I posted the thread "I've been thinking", check it out. You'll see what I mean.

There are some hints that there could be a BG3.
For one, it could be set after you turn away your Bhaal essence to be destroyed.

Each romance you have puts out a son.
Whether it be Viconia Jaheira or Aerie.
In the ascension mod, it ends the epilogue text for your romance with "But that is another tale...."
Referring to your son.
Bg3 = Child of Child of Bhaal storyline?

doubtful. the BG series ended with BG2: ToB. Bioware/Interplay have no interest in making a thrid game to the series, but instead are beginging to churn out other games (possible IWD2) like NWN, ST: KotOR, and a few others.

Impossible. Imagine starting out at that high level - where would you end?

Who knows? You might even wake up somewhere on a cold table in some mortuary, not knowing what happened to you

If its really that way then it should read BG3:Battle of the gods.
You start off accepting the essence and become a lesser Deity. Your overseek send you back to mortal plane on some sort of errand and you ended up fighting with Cyric Helm, Talos .......

Not even in the cards. Interplay never negotiated for it, and Bioware already has its next major project slated.

Didn't Bioware lose the rights to do the D&D series under Interplay anymore, or was that changed/never true? I say this, because look at Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance. It still carried the Interplay name, but it was done by Snowblind studios, not Bioware.
Hmmmm....

DA was in the hands of Snowblind long before the whole legal tiff. Bioware were never involved with it.

You save up until you have 1000 gold, then go to a temple to get Restoration. Congratulations, you're a level 40 god!

For a while they were saying Warcraft 3 would never happen too.
Eventually, there will be a BG3. Whether its simply related to the storyline, or a continuation.
It could be a game with a totally different title, and at the end you find out you're the son of the child of bhaal himself/herself.
Eventually, it'll happen.
