So I decided to play Gothic, the original form 2001, and I have a few question about mods and patches... Since I've never played it before, I'm purely interested in mods that do not alter the story, but only enrich the old one maybe, add some items, balancing etc... Also, what about the patches? Which ones do I need? I know that the developers of the Gothic series are rather infamous when it comes to bugs... I found mods and patches on [url='http://www.worldofgothic.com/dl/?go=download&catid=3']this site[/url], I believe that is all of them?

Yeah, but all it did is make things more complicated for me. I can't play the game without mods now, and I can't figure out which mods do I need.

Well, you might not find the kind of help you need since there isn't even a specialized Gothic forum on GameBanshee. I know a lot of people here have played it though. The German Gothic fan communities were always the bigger ones, the game being made by a German company and all.

Seeing as how you're already 'here', could you recommend some spaceship like game? Like Space rangers 2: Reboot?

Lol, as it happens I do. The only 'spaceship game' I sometimes like to play is an [url='http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elite_(video_game)']Elite[/url]-like (strategy, combat, mining, trade economics, building stations, etc) called [url='http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X3:_Terran_Conflict']X3, Terran Conflict[/url]. It's part of a series actually, and Terran Conflict is the latest installment.

It also has a very lively modding community, providing all sorts of mods from new ships to cockpits, GUI scripts and AI modifications.
