i'm stuck in the area in the picture. the path in circle is blocked. what should i do?

Is this not covered in our [url='http://www.gamebanshee.com/icewinddale/walkthrough.php']walkthrough[/url]?

there isn't even a door, the path's just blocked

It's not blocked, it just looks like it! That fooled me the first time I played IWD. Just 2d Iso perspective creating an optical illusion. Navigate your party further south of where the doorway appears to be and your characters should walk right through (it will look as if they are walking though a 'blacked out' unnavigable area).

click on the bottom right of that circle and further to the right and you will see your characters to move to the right in the dark shadow. I also think there is no door..
