Hi.
First and foremost, I have never played a game of D&D. However, I am very interested in it, and when I'm interested in something, I become dedicated. Also, I am not an irresponsible person. I hope that makes up for my being new to D&D.

I am starting this thread to look for people who are interested in playing D&D over the internet, although I haven't decided on a method yet. However I am in the process of researching methods to make this viable . I am not biased as to your experience with the game, obviously. Actually, beginners are welcome as I imagine more experienced players might become frustrated with all the troubleshooting we might undergo as we attempt to start and proceed with our adventure. However, experienced players are welcome too as I am sure they would be an invaluable addition to out team with their.. um.. experience. Just forgive us if I or we blunder a little bit.
Whatever your background, I just hope that you are dedicated enough to be punctual, focused, and active. Be willing to make suggestions, question decisions but at the same time, have fun.

That said, this is the basic guideline of what I wish to know from any interested persons.
1. Your experience with D&D
2. When you are available
3. Whether you want to be a Dungeon Master or a Player(if player, class you want to play)
4. D&D edition you want to play
5. Any comments

Hi, I've wanted to play online DnD since summer of 2012 but I put it on the backburner as I discovered so many games end due to people bailing on the game. I played in Siberys campaign prequill here on GB. Then when that campaign ended I went to a different website totally devoted to playing DnD. The main thing I learned was to make my posts concise and understandable; it seemed that the other players demonstrated that less can be more.

I haven't played since that summer. All four of the games died and players and DMs bailing is a real problem. I didn't bail on any of them.

So that is #1 my experieince in DnD. The campaigns I played were 3.5 DnD and I have a few books from that series.

2. I am available quite often, probably could be dedicated to an evening any day of the week.

3. I'd like to be a player as I am still a relative noob and plus I am not sure I could be creative enough to DM a game even if I were familiar with the rules (when I played the campaigns I constantly had to look up in my books).

4. Well since I have 3.5 books I would like to play 3.5... It seems 4.0 made a large departure from the flavor if I understand it and 3.5 might be a nice sweet spot??

1. None, the only experience I've has has been watching videos on youtube and listening to podcasts. I am interested to learn especially knowing you can get more out of it RPing wise especially compared to games now a days.

2. Pretty flexible on the time so when ever I suppose. I'll be sure to keep you posted if something were to come up, but I'd most likely try to be there every time.

3. I'd want a little experience with the game first as a player, but I'd be pretty open to DMing if it called for it. Not promising if I'd be any good but I am pretty imaginative and love to do voices and tell stories.

4. Really open to anything really just want to try it out and get a feel of it, even if I'm not a huge fan I'll stick around can't imagine leaving people hanging. EDIT: 4E seems to be a little more straight forward and easier to get into.

5. I look forward to trying it out, and get some experience in it, also if there is something I should check out before we were to get started let me know and I'll look that up as well. Thanks.

1. Your experience with D&D

I've played in a regular weekly group for about 10 to maybe 20 sessions now. We play AD&D 2nd edition and I like it a lot. We play in a classic fantasy setting that was made by my DM. My DM does not allow any powergaming and requires us to roleplay encounters with NPCs. This is very much the kind of thing I would be looking for in a game played over forum or email.

2. When you are available

Evenings, almost every day except mondays and saturdays, although every day would be far too much. Two times a week would be good.

3. Whether you want to be a Dungeon Master or a Player(if player, class you want to play)

Player, halfling thief (if 2nd edition). Would have to take a long hard look at the classes before deciding what to play in 3.5.

4. D&D edition you want to play

I prefer 2nd edition but can play 3.5 if everyone prefers that.

5. Any comments

Great initiative! Let's hope we can agree on something and find a DM!
