I was looking inside the dialog.tlk file one day out of boredom, and I found out that the maximum backstab mod. possible is not 7x with the assassin. There's also 8x and 9x damage!

Is it possible to increase beyond 7x legally in the game? I tried changing it in Shadowkeep and it works. I haven't made high-level assassins yet in ToB, so I am wondering if they can reach these two extra levels.

Indeed it does work. My assassin character naturally got up to 9x backstab, but it reset to 7x on leaving the pocket plane for the first time. A bug, we agreed.
