I know I am the 10000000000 that posts about his party but I really can' decide.

Well this is the point I want a really compact party who can takle anything.
i only want two characters in my team, a true neutral half/elf cleric mage and about the other one I am not sure.
Shall I choose a classic like a elven fighter/mage, using longswords and longbows.
But since I am roleplaying i don't want to walk just trough traps.
So i need a thief, but I can also cast find traps walk around the trap or set up a protection (or isn't this roleplaying).
Wich should I choose a mage/thief or a fighter/thief.
And wich weapons should I use? I am busy with this party for two months and restarted and restarted but I can decide. any help would be welcome thanks.

Tiax, I would go with a Half-Orc fighter/thief multiclass...then your party has fighter, thief, mu, and cleric :)

I think the half orc fighter thief is definitely a tough guy, and will be able to use wands and scrolls later in the game...I personally hate not being able to disarm traps. Give him some weapon proficiencies that he can backstab with, like long sword or katana and he will clear many areas with no trouble...You will be able to get grtr whirlwinds too :)

You could use a monk. You can't disarm traps but you can find them and bypass them. Or you could run through them with your high MR. A monk can also hold his own in a fight.

half-orc fighter-thiefs are very good.

How about a gnome Cleric/Illusionist instead of the half-elf one ? One more spells per level. The second character should be the half-orc fighter-thief with a katana.
