How can I beat wind chapel devourers?

I am all buffed up with a water elemental teamate and five heal spells but there are devourers who shoot rays at us and just shred our team. Should I cast spell resistance?

Deakin is 'stoned' (turned to stone).. I really want to finish the game for closure. I gave my guy about 6 free level ups and I wonder if the enemy has level scaled to make the end game impossible? Hard to know. I am going to try and think of a new strategy.

I am basically buffing everyone and bashing and tough battles darkness.

Found the tactic = greater sanctuary
I beat the game albeit on easy mode
