I have been trying something new thanxs to some advice from you folks on the forum, taking Animal Domain as one of my Clerics Domains and having an Animal Companion. Really Cool and Uber Strong with Dino on the main OC.
But a Quick question; If i choose a Prestice Class ( like Stormlord etc) does the animal comanion become stronger as i level up ? Or is it like for a Multi class Ranger build ? i ask cause i have started on my game, and the further i get the more frustrated i get if my plan doesnt work as intended.
Tnx

I believe the animal companion will only increase in strength if you take cleric levels. Prestige classes generally don't increase the strength of your base class features unless specifically mentioned in the prestige class description.

You have to level as cleric. You can take natural bond (is that the name?) and it is like practiced spellcaster for animal companion.

Yup, and unfortunately it's only 3 levels instead of 4 like practiced spell caster.

Also, if you have another class that provides an Animal Companion (Druid or Ranger) - that added class doesn't "stack" to increase the Animal Companion's level.
Only Kaedrin's PRC offers a prestige class that "stacks" with Animal Companion levels:

Note that Kaedrins ALSO has several added companion feats that make the animal companion more effective - particularly Exalted Companion (which is a 4th level bonus feat from the Lion of Talisid class).
