Opinions on Construct?

I've been thinking about taking the construct in my party, how is he? Can he use any kind of equipment etc? It sounds like a fairly "cheap" and simple member ... and a little fun.
Have completed the first construct-quest, and im at the beginning of act 3. If I'm going to take the robot, then it is Korgan who must go away. Thats a little sad, but i need my rouge, druid and cleric. I am a fighter. So it´s only Korgan left. Any other ideas?
Cheers,
Jeh

If Khelgar is properly built with good equipment, then keep Khelgar.
I never use the construct (except at the end as part of the game). But I always do the construct's "quests" or rather those actions needed to bring it to life and then improve upon it.

No, it's not worth it as a partymember.

No point in taking him, until the end since he doesn't say much. However, you should activate it. Also, while you can't interact with it, your reputation with Grobnar and Bishop is going to be somewhat important if you activate it.

I will stay with Khelgar. Now with Ironfist-stuff etc he is a very good tank, also nice DMG and crazy STR. But ofc i do the quests, my goal is to do all of them.
Thanks,

Actually making him a Monk is one of the few things I never do. I don't think there isn't even an experience point advantage to do so.
Oddly enough, in SOZ you get to see him again (though not as a companion), and he is NOT a monk.

I agree, I do not choose him as a monk either. Monk-Quest is one of them I do not, but you can make the first of them without making him a monk. I will keep him as he is now, he is a very good char with all IronFist equipment etc.
Btw, Zaerie the cleric, she has had a spear. She makes good dmg with it, however, I want her to be ranged. But she can not use the bow, so either Sling or Crossbow, light or heavy. Whats best for her?
Thanks,
Jeh

Sling, definitely, as it allows a shield. Crossbows are hideously slow without the proper feat.
BTW, do the Monk quest for Kelghar, but tell him he shouldn't become a Monk in the end.

Ah ok, thanks. So i can finish all monk-quest, but just tell him not to convert?
Shield, yes ofc! Forgott that, thx!

Yes, you can tell him so. Just make a save before turning in the quest.
If you make Zaeve ranged, be sure to take Zen Archery.

Yes ofc. She has a STR-belt atm, but i found a cleric-belt that give spell-slots. Does +4 STR do any good at all, now when she is ranged? Melee/ranged is just her second-dmg, magic is the first. But still.

The STR belt isn't worth it for her. It's +2 dmg IF you've got a Mighty ranged weapon. The extra spell slots are worth a lot more.

Thought at first to have been blessed by the halfling goddess Arvoreen and granted to the heroic Tuckerby Lettleworp after the Battle of Moor Road, there have actually been a number of these items found. In fact, much like the tales of Littleman, it would seem that nearly every halfling village has a similar story about the acquisition of such an item. What this means regarding their true origins is unknown.

Remember, Zaeve can cast Bull's Strength to raise her STR, but she can't give herself more spellslots.
That sling is very good, though.

@Mulligan
What does "Mighty +4"do really? I also wonder about "Keen"?
Thanks for the tip!

Mighty + X means that you get to add "X" of your STR *modifier* to this weapon's attacks. So if you have 18 STR (+4 modifier), you would do 4 extra damage.
Keen doubles the threat range, but does not stack with Improved Critical.

I would definitely get the Construct. It doesn't cost anything and it counts as an extra tank for the final battle. It is not as powerful as Khelgar but its whirlwind attack makes up for it. Also if you ask Sand to upgrade it with alchemy you get +1 influence with him every time you ask. Better two fighters than one, eh?
