SoU/HotU weapon choice

So, I intend to go through SoU and HotU with a Fighter/Weapon Master/Dwarven Defender but I can't choose a weapon. Radiant Death +12 sounds awesome but the -5 ac penalty could be too much. Maybe I could go for greataxes and get the Slasher of Koth. Or maybe go for something else?
What are your recommendations?
Also is Radiant Death +12 or +6? Some sites list it as +12 and others as +6.
