So do I, but...
Well, thats a problem for me too, with more than 95000 and no place where to spend it... but, if you found Delg, the ormyrr in the Main Halls (yes, that multi-arm-giant-worm-aberration, near the room where some orcs are prisoned, south near the mines, I think) and you didnt kill him (errr... IT??), you can try this: Go to the Sharpstick Room, a big room in the deep halls east from the Eart Wind pool (more or less in the middle of the map). Kill all the orcs in there. Go to Halls of light, and from the Ronglym room, going north, you´ll find a group of ormyrrs. Tell them about delg and that you cleared sharpstick room... they will praise you. If you return to Sharpstick room, they will be there, and theyll have some objects to sell (not great, but better than Nottle, at least)
Hope it works for you...

Chances are that if you have that much money, you are far enough along in the game where nothing offered for sale anywhere is worth it to you. Ultimately, you can find some +4 or so weapons for sale and potions of full healing (I think it was with the ormyrrs in the Sullymarsh after you take care of that area), but you probably already have equivalent stuff. By that time, I pretty much throw out all potions that are less than full healing, don't bother taking any gems, ignore money where I can, and collect no extra anything (just adds to the weight you are carrying). Money is useless in this game, because, by the time you can afford things in the early part, you've found better stuff, and everything you find for sale later on is less than you already have. Somebody didn't think this through very well at the design level.

Yes indeedy, the whole money/trading thing is almost pointless. Whoever tested the gameplay deserves shooting as the whole game is unbalanced. It could have been a very good game, if not quite up to BG standards, but the numerous gameplay issues take it down to a so-so level. Shame.

Once you clear the first 4 dungeons and the surface areas, there is a dwarven ghost there who has a few good weapons for sale. Try him.

I agree that the money/item system of the game is its weak point. Once you have cleared the four "Halls" areas you'll have come up with some of the best weapons in the game, you'll have met only two chars to trade (the second is the ormyrr) and your huge amounts of money go to waste :-( ... Even the dwarf merchant doesn't have better weapons to sell. My opinion is to not sell the items with spells before casting all the spells they have and, after a point in the game, just drop the wasted (out of charge) items wherever they run out of charge. Also, keep the two best weapons for each of your chars.

Actually there ar far better weapons (two stonking greatswords for a start) in the game than you can get in the Hall areas, but you won't get them until near the end. By then I was leaving vanilla +5 weapons where they lay...
