Hi, I am like really bad with names. So could you guys like suggest some really elvish and dark-elvish names? I mean I want to play an elf and the only name I can come up with is Gladder. Thanks. :)

Well thinking a name is rather easy for surface elves anyway, just think nature. Like my name. Mirakai STARNIGHT, elven bladesinger. When you encounter the elves in the FR books they have names like leafbower, and moonflower(the ruling clan) if you want some more just ask, and i will pick up my copy of Evermeet, island of the elves (can you say almost 500pages of elven and drow names) just say the word or you can go with the nature thing. or buy the book yourself, a must read if you like the elves.

@Mirakai Starnight, That's better quality advice than I was going to give but here's my two-cents worth.

The endings: -dron, -dlan, than, seem pretty common (for elves), so why not drop any thing you like in front of one of those. Phonetic spelling and apostropes can make an otherwise dull name into something more glamourous too.

so lets try that out:

Bruce (good Australian name :) ) becomes

Brudron, Brudlan, or Bructhan.

Go to the glamour booth and we get

Brus or Brews and then Br'udron or Brudr'on (etc). - Curdis

For elven names you can use The lord of the Rings or the Silmarllion. There are some really good names there such as:
Glorfindel
Feanor
Elrohir
Celeborn
As far as drow names go you can pick up a copy of Salvatore's starless night or siege of darkness.Lots of drow there.
Another one from Tolkien that is suitable for a dark elf-not nescessary drow-is Maeglin, the elf who betrayed Gondolin.

more elven suffixes

anas, ana, and mar are popular suffixes from the dragonlance series.

example anthony

Anthanas, anthana, anthamar

For last names use compound words (in elven) for surface elves and use apostrophe to accentuate drow names.
