Weirdest party

Was just playing round after finishing the game again and making a new party entirely out of my own people, no NPC's from the game. After just plonking away, I came out with this, not the most balanced party, but still kinda fun.

Male ranger/Cleric, human
Half elf female blade
Human male druid
half orc male figther/thief
halfling female figther/thief
male elf soccerer

I have no idea how they'll go, but was just curious if anyone else had tried playing through the game with a really odd group of own made characters, excluding soloists......

Excluding soloists! My Bard can't be first violin ? No seriously, because of the restrictions on toolbars in BG1 I had a party of multi theives.

Cleric/Thief, Mage/Thief, and Thief  (The BG1 interface meant that with a straight mage {for instance} you couldn't have a melee and missile weapon selected from the main interface). It is quite cool to have a whole party hide in the shadows! - Curdis !

I dunno, I've heard tales of all Archer and All bard parties.
Try going through the game without any dedicated tank, no rangers fighter barbarians paladins or anything, even multiclassed. I was a Jester , had Cernd, H'Dalis, Edwin, Vic and yosh later imo. That was tough, had to rely on magic A LOT. So many rest stops....

much fun has been had in Icewind Dale with all 4 foot parties running around massacring giants, but not really possible in BG2 unless you multiplayer quite a few of them.

Is this class possible? I just tried to edit a fighter/mage/thief in Shadow Keeper, but I could only add one kit and had no way to change the mage to a sorceror. Please let me know. If custom classes are possible, I might be playing through this game a dozen more times. Then I might look into getting a life. I hear a lot of people have them.

Piqsid, totally illegal pc char. used sk obscenely. take kensai, add beholder anti magic rays and poison weapon, and all important use any item, CLUA level up to desired level, convert ot sorc true class...you keep thaco, and kai shots...change number of attacks per round, sorc is hard wired to 1....

hit greater whirlwind for more fun...

hey user, just how exactly would one go about "add beholder anti magic rays and poison weapon, and all important use any item," in SK?
also, how do you view globals in SK?

To add the innate abilities (they're considered spells), just click on the Innate tab and select them from the list, and click on the mem tabs how many times you want them memorized. For each innate spell you add in, you must increment the max number of innate spells on the Memorization tab. Note: The game will not allow your PC to have some of the innates, and may experience problems if you try to give him too many.

The Use Any Item ability is an affect, and the best way to apply this is to create a thief and level him up until he gets the ability, save the game, open it in SK, and copy the affects to your PC. The affects you're looking for reference SPCL915:

One is Class Ability, and the other is affect 0x012E.

To view globals, just click on the Globals tab.

Wierd party

Playing with a odd party? You should have seen my elven ranger party. Five pure rangers and one archer. They were really fun allthough Irenicus in suldanesselar was though. They were using almost all of the good weapons in the game: One was dual wielding long swords and katanas. One was wielding halberds. One was dual wielding warhammers and flails. One was dual wielding scmittars and bastard sword/short swords. One was dual wielding maces and axes. And the archer was using shortbows and spears.
:D Try and stop them!

also weird party

finally installed TDD. going through SoA for the sixth time and am using some NPC's I've never used. Here's my group

Me: swashbuckler 10 dual to cleric (currently 9)
valygar
mazzy
adario
nalia
jan

what this party lacks in beef it makes up for in stealth. I've found invisiblitly 10' radius to be incredibly useful. Not to mention five people can hide in shadows. very curious to see how the party evolves. I've always relied on two or three tanks per party and now I have none.
