I had exactly the same problem with the German version of ID. I solved it by downloading a patch (1.06).

Yep, same with me.
Just download the patch, it should help.

I don't have HoW yet. I've tried to get it, but I can't find it anywhere. :(

Memory fading in your old age, eh, Sleepy? I recall you providing that answer to a question before, though I don't remember what question you were answering or what topic it was in those.

I'll give that a try as soon as I find the time. :(

Well, I have to make sure I have room on my laptop first, but I can't do that until after classes today. :( BTW, what's the XP cap in HoW?

The XP in HoW is set to allow all character classes to reach 30th level.

Does that mean a multi-class can reach 30/30 or 30/30/30? I plan on using my Fighter/Mage/Thief that I'm soloing through IWD in HoW.

Clearing out the cache folder did not sort this problem for me. What I did was create a new folder called 'override2'. I copied all the files from the existing override folder into 'override2' then deleted all the files in the existing override folder. Once you reach Easthave (and you have done away with the first cyclops) save your game, then copy all the files from 'override2' back into your original override folder. Does that make sense? :D Well it works ;)

I'm no sure how, but it makes sense. I just installed HoW, went through it and dealt with that threat to the Ten-Towns, then went back to Kuldahar and just got myself teleported back to Easthaven and everything works fine now. :D

I may be wrong, but I think that installing HoW may also fix this problem ;) at the time it happened to me, HoW was not out...
