Does it cause any issues when installing mods/Restoration project?

I wouldn't expect it to cause any issues, but you might want to take a quick look at the KOTORII forum on Steam and see if others have had issues. There are some Win Vista/7 issues with running KOTORII, but there are extensive workarounds online for this.
