Do attributes change in the MMIXX?

Post by Claudius »

The intelligence attribute must change. But what about the others? How does intelligence change?
Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.

Characters get 3 attribute points to spend each time they gain a level.

SWC
Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

Thanks. What I was wondering is if the attributes do something different in the new version. For example intelligence used to reduce adv costs, but there are no adv costs anymore? So does intelligence effect spellcasting now? Does dexterity effect crit chance? I have 'crit chance' on my character screen in the new version.

From memory, the attributes became much more generic in MMXII, and they do about the same thing there as they do in every other game. So for int and casting and dex and crit chance the answers are probably yes and yes.

You're right; there aren't any adv points any more.
