Galdryns horn in MMXII I cant equip

I tried in my neck jewelry slot, my bracer slot, and both rings... Anyone know if and how you can equip it?
You can't wear the horn in MMXII, but you can invoke it using the hotkey bar. I can't remember if you get its bonuses just for having it in your inventory.
