re-instaling BG2-SoA

I playing BG2 for x yrs. but now I am really "berserk" or something (SFMBE).
I uninstal BG2 leaving saves etc. be in origin directory.
When I instal BG2 to this directory with saves, the game crashes after click on "play BG2:SoA".
When I delete old saves all is in normal.
plz. help.

I hope this works...

Move the old save games to a different directory. Install SOA. Check it works normally. Quit. Move over the save game you want to use (only that one). Start up SOA. Load up the saved game! - If you have tried this and it didn't work then I hope someone else can help. - Curdis !

Make sure any mods that the characters have are in the override directory also or the game will crash. I did the same thing and when I tried to load my save game it looked for the mods in the override directory and when i couldnt find them I think it just said heck with it and crashed. :)
