Hi,
I have several ankheg shells, and I've already got the armourer in Beregost to make me the armour, so I was wondering where I can sell the extra ones?
Also, can I sell the moonblade somewhere? Or should I just toss it?

The Moonblade is unsellable IIRC
There are some places that buy the shells - but can't remember any specifics.
Try the Mage at the high hegde, he buy almost anything.

I believe you can sell everything in either the smitty in beregost, or the red ..... inn (the one where transig is)

You are suppose to sell all the ones you have to him all at once, but if you come to him with them one by one, he should buy them for 500 gold a piece.
Spoilerish:
But if that dosn't work I don't think you can sell them untill you meet a guy in Baldurs gate. If you want his name. I can look it up for you.

So, until I can sell the stuff at Baldur's Gate, is there anywhere I can store it?

You can store the Ankheg shells in any container. How it works with the smithy in Beregost:
He buys them for 500 gp - but he takes all the shells you have in your inventory. To get 500 gp
per shell, just ground all but one, sell that one, pick up another and repeat. He will continue to buy them until he makes the armor for you. He is the only one who will give you a lot of money for them, so after that, IMO, it's not worth it to lug around ankheg shells. (They're heavy.) Go Winter Wolf hunting instead - the shopkeeper in Nashkel will always buy the pelts from you.

agrees with sojourner
also, tranzig is in feldepost's inn in the western part of beregost. they should buy ankheg shells but again, they're too heavy to lug aroudn.

Thanks for all the replies!
I have just got rid of them... can't be bothered lugging them around, as you say they aren't worth much...
But on containers, are there any around? Say, scroll bags? Or what other containers are there?

the meaning of container is any chest or barrel you can store stuff in. if you leave items on the ground on a map, once you leave the map, the items will be removed. you need to store them or they'll be wiped out. there are no scroll cases, etc...

OK, without wanting to sound stupid, how do I stuff things into chests?
I've tried, but all I can do is get stuff out of a chest...

@legwind
What do you mean, you can't get stuff out of chests?
Make sure you have room in you're inventory,
click on the chest, and you'll see to spaces (on the bottom of the screen),
one is the chest (and what's in it) and the other one is you're inventory,
just click on the stuff in you're inventory, and it will be placed in the chest! Click on the stuff inside the chest, and it will be placed in you're inventory!
Hope this helps

@ legwind,
to rehash. to get stuff out of a chest you click on the chest causing an inventory screen to pop up where the dialog box normally is.
to remove items from the chest and place them into your inventory, you click on the items in the chest.
to place items in the chest, click on the chest, and then click on the items on the right (which is your inventory).
this is a difficult thing to find the right words for. good luck.

Cool!
Thanks very much to everyone... got it now...
I assume the chests I hide things in don't refresh or anything like that?
Anyway, this has been a good thread for me... thanks to GameBanshee for their excellant forums!

@ legwind
Well, it can happen that you put something into the chest and the next time when you pick it up, it is gone. However, items needed for the game stay in their place.

I've had shells in my inventory over 10 days and was still able to sell them.
