In the catacombs - lower keep, my caracters reached level 17 and then I was confronted with the problem that any single class caracter seems to have a limitation to go beyond level 16.
The only thing left to do is to make all your caracters multi-class, but it's a bit crazy to have a sorcerer/cleric lvl 16/1. At least that's my oppinion.
I looked it up in the manuel, but I can't seem to find a single remark about caracters not being able to go over level 16, and therefor having to multiclass your caracters.

Is there anyone who has expierenced the same thing? Or have I missed something in the manuel?

From the manual(p.85):

All characters can advance up to the 16th level in any one class, with a combined multiclass level cap of 32
