Hey all, I am on the skinner quest. I talked to rose and the merchants then went and got all the items including the elephant skin. I talked to the fat merchant again and he took the skin from me and now Rose is gone so I cant talk to her again to see if she recognizes the smell. I also cant find the animal tamer to talk to either like either the fat merchant or female merchant says....Did I do something in the wrong order? Help Please

First you obtain the elephant skin from a beggar standing a couple of steps away from the merchant and Rose. Then you talk to the merchant, then Rose. Rose tells to ask the merchant about two or three igrendients which have a particular, similar smell. Then you go to the merchant, he gives you the igrendients, you get them to Rose, and Rose tells you which one was the exact smell.
That's about the correct order.

Alternetly, you could just go in to the tanners house and just accuse him of doing something suspicious.

In the first case, if you tell the Inspector (Braga??) about your suspicions and evidence, and he go to the tanner's home, the tanner will kill him. In the alternative, you can accuse the tanner of the murders, kill him, and return to the gate to inform the Inspector that the mystery has been solved --sparing him thus his life.

The good inspector's family is eternally greatful you pointed this out, but one correction. Killing the tanner is not possible (in the bridge district) and is not necessary to complete. Once he has been confronted (and has confessed) telling the good inspector solves the riddle. it is not even necessary to go down the first stairs. - Curdis !

@Curdis: You're right, and thanks for the correction. What I've had in my mind was some other bad guys.
@ Good inspector's family: No need to thank me, my lady. I've just done my duty. Good must always prevail!
