This may seem a little stupid but how do I use an avatar?
I mean how do I select one to be displayed under my user name?

go to the 'user cp' button at the top of the page, then to 'edit options', then there should be a 'change avatar' button at the bottom of the page.

just did it.However it says to choose from a list of 0 avatars!!!!

errr... because they haven't got any?

you've gotta upload your own (50x50 pixels max size).

download/scan in a picture of something, make sure it is the right size (or smaller) then go to change avatar. the rest should be simple.

Just copy a smilie face and upload it to you profile, or checkout other websites for some funky inspirations!
