My f/t acquires second stronghold - but why?

Well, yesterday night I decided to let my halfling F/T and crew clean out de Arnise keep 'cause I needed some coin to buy the short sword of Mask. I didn't want Korgan to grab the lead in the bodycount statistics and my f/t had dropped from 86 to 60% or so, therefore I needed quick cash to buy my f/t a better main hand weapon. So I offed the trolls, insulted the keeps owners, looted everything, dropped Edwins CHA stat permanently by letting him attack helpless people with the rod of terror, forged the flail, or in two words, nothing special.
BUT after returning to Nalia, reporting damge done and insulting her she asked me (the respected leader of G'worl's thieves guildhouse, wearing the armor of his dead predecessor) to run the bloody keep. I agreed because a keep's a keep but WHY did I get two strongholds without ever using cheats, SK or the like in this game? I always thought I'd be limited to one keep, even checked old threads and they told the same.

Maybe coz you're figther/thief and thereby are able to take up two strongholds? Afterall, you're qualified for both strongholds (and maybe because Nalia loves to be insulted deep inside
)

Yeah, but so far I believed that
You get the first stronghold that you qualify for. For example, if you were running a multiclass fighter/mage, you'd get the mage stronghold if you finished the planar sphere quest first, or the fighter stronghold if you finished Nalia's quest, first.
There are cheats that enable all quests. I believe Baldurdash may have this, at

Of course, getting a keep as a result of insulting people motivates me to go on like that. Maybe I get the drow city too?
Edit: Ahh, the thread below explains it:
The way that Curdis mentioned is a bug in the game, the reason why you didn't get the stronghold when you took Lavok outside is that you've exploited another bug to get the fighter stronghold - if you don't have Nalia in the party for while clearing the Keep, her dialogue does not check if you have a stronghold or not, so you can get it even if you already have another one. This is the same with Lavok, if you refuse to take him outside, his dialogue does not check if you have a stronghold or not - as opposed to the one where you do take him outside, which does check. I hope this makes sense.

@PL, the situations are not identical. With more recent patches, Nalia's code checks now for other strongholds--I can verify this. However, Curdis says that Lavok's code still does not check.

hmmm, all i know of is that if you installed one of those patches (i believe from baldurdash or someone else's own website on this forum, you can acquire ALL strongholds, so you can also get the mage stronghold eventhough youre a figher, for example....

Provided you haven't already completed conditions that left you ineligible for the stronghold. In one run-through, I finished Nalia's quest early on. Kevin offered the patch *after* I did that, so I installed it at that point. What I found was that upon traveling overland, I showed up in the keep, and got the speeches from Nalia and her overseer about owning the castle.
Then I tried to leave, and discovered that the drawbridge was up, and wouldn't come down.
Had to go back to my last autosave, and removed the patch.

Did you try to leave through the secret door? If it wasn't for the long install time of BG II I'd try what happens in my case but I'm just back from work and want to whack someone with the above mentioned sword of Mask now. Collecting golden skeleton parts comes to mind.
