hey all, i need help as the title suggests.

ok, this is the second time ive played SoA. im doing it with an evil party. I decided to give the money to the shadow guild instead of bhodi and went through with everything associated with that (Mook, Gracen etc.). The last task is to destroy Bhodi's guild, but to get in you need to meet the mage and the golem to open the blue doors....

so off i go directly to the crypts and to the blue doors....but the mage and golem are nowhere to be seen. ive loaded, reloaded and tried everything i can think of (even reinstalled) but the mage isnt there. im sure i met him there last time i did it but this time........well i cant go any further until they appear...

any idea, comments or suggestions?

try talking to the shadowthiefes again.

thnx for the link to baldurdash. i got the FixPack v1.12 for ToB and that should cover any problems i might experience later....

but the mage till isnt there. ive talked to the shadow thieves numerous times and all they say is "it is your best intrests not to waste time, go to the graveywards and destroy the evil within blah blah"....

then i got back and they still arent there...

argh this is killing me

Do you have an old save game? if so, try loading that, and see if the mage ist there!

if you are the cheating type...reveal the map, and then just teleport your party across the door...

thats another bit where im stupid, i dont have an earlier saved game. i saved over it after i saw the shadowthieves for the last time.....

well im willing to cheat to get in (as ive complested both SoA and ToB on insane without cheating), but ill have to look into how to do it....any help would be great.......

so how do i reveal the map and teleport?

Go to the directory where you installed BG2, open the file baldur.ini and add in Debug Mode=1 under [Program Options]. Load up the game, put the mouse pointer behind the door and press CTRL + J, all of your selected characters will be teleported to that location.

ok, to continue our story....

i do the cheat sabre explained, and i jump over the door....i walk around expective vampires to jump out of everywhere (if i remember correctly from the last time i played)....yet no vampires appear....so i keep walking around, get the mace of disruption from the pool of blood and then head downstairs......i get there and there are a fe of those guardsmen and some minor vampires and ghausts.....i kill all them and then get the suit of armor and katana +2....keep walking arund, nothing else.......

so i leave....i go back to the shadowthieves and still....""it is your best intrests not to waste time, go to the blah blah...."

so i go back to the guild, no mage, no vampires jumping out of scary dark corners...nothing.....

fark.....

Maybe you should look on the forum, if i'm not mistaken, there are some other people who had the same problem.
Or try goint outside, and rest a day or two, and the reenter the crypt.

i looked around the forums but the other problems seemed to be when you ahd joined bodhi and her not opening the door. nothing about the mage.....and i tried the sleeping thing...lol slept for a damn week and nothing occured....

i did what you said sabre and the mage appeared along with the vampires.....

lol thing was i was in the middle of the room where all the vampires appreared and got slaughtered as i was totally unprepared

You're welcome, forgot to tell you about where you shouldn't be. It's best to be outside the door - so you can get the mage to open it for you.

heh the only reason i died was becasue edwin was too close to those grimwarders.....and i has also taken the armor off my protagonist when i was screwing around with him before....

anyway, i had to play around a few times with it but now that the door is open i'm a very happy boy lol excited about a door opening
