Ranman's Meditations ????

I just bought Ranman's Meditations from Hardlain Ironbar(whatever his name is) and I'd really like to know how to put it yo use.

Anything with the word Ranman in it is Monks Only stuff, and meditations is a book I believe..I was confused at first how to use books, like do you put it in the arrows slot, rings, ammy, hold it instead of a shield or what? But no, just keep it in your inventory and it will do it's magic. And just remember, it is for monk's only.
