here's my problem: I've got my character romancing Anomen, and he's recently passed his test. he spoke to me once after- then stopped dead. I'm still in chapter 3, but I could talk to Aran Linvail anytime, if I wanted to go to brynnlaw.

I know you can reset the romance using the CLUA console, but is there a way I can start from where I was?

I've also heard that the long silence is a bug, and can be fixed by getting the patch, but someone else told me the silence is supposed to happen until chapter 6- but that's a long way away for me.

I'm really confused now. Help!

Aparrantly romances are put on "pause" in certain chapters, I think it happens in Chapter 3. I can't remember the other chapters it happens in.
Don't worry, your romance will continue (maybe in chapter 4?)

Try, CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("AnomenRomanceActive","GLOBAL",1) - that should reactivate it if for some reason it was off. Check the LoveTalk value, CLUAConsole:GetGlobal("LoveTalk","LOCALS") - with the mouse pointer over Anomen. To set the timer to 1 - thus initiating dialogue immediately, if there is no other requirements - use CLUAConsole:SetGlobal("AnomenRomance","GLOBAL",1).

After Anomen passes his Test, some of his dialogs require resting to occur.
