Sorcerer and Imprisonment?

When a sorceror is able to cast lvl9 spells, can he choose imprisonment.
i guess that he should be able to, but i just want to be sure...thanks.

yes, he can, but don't pick it. it makes the game boring.

Well, you're right about it taking away any challenges... You know when you're a munchkin when you use 6 Imprisonments to get rid of a group of goblins.
