Has anyone found a workaround for the falling floor bug?

I'm thinking that using a hex editor one could add items such as the Gargoyle Mouth etc to ones inventory???

Anyone got details of the file format for the savegames inventory?

I haven't found any editors for the game that let you add items to your inventory so it must be hard to do so. If anyone finds something like that just let us know.
