I don't wanna critize your way of playing pinkit we all play how we want to play, just want to ask:
is there still fun left in the game after other people tell you what items are best/where to find them? Since it is your first time your playing TDD(i haven't played it, just curious)

Simmer down there locke, Pinks just asking a simple question as to NPC's not to spoil the game.
NPC wise, you need a thief, mage, cleric and some fighters.
Thief, you can pick Yoshi or Adario. Adario sucks at early lvls in theif skills, but can fight pretty well, especially dual wielding *cough* and *cough*.
Both available early on.
Has good starting gear too.
You could also get Monty and Xzar, but there is a quest involved.
Mages, edwin and Xzar.
Fighter, Korgan, Kagain, Shar teel, all have pros and cons.
Clerics- Vic remains the only evil cleric to my knowlege.

There is the danger with most of the "new" TDD NPCs that if you boot them out of the party, they disappear for good.
In BG1, where there were some pairs of NPCs: Xzar and Montaron, Khalid and Jaheira, Minsc and Dynaheir. If you booted one out, the other went with them. I'm not sure if they've done the same thing in TDD; I finished their quests and then booted them both out because they're pretty weak characters. Montaron doesn't have any WPs (I'm not kidding!) and doesn't do anything that Yoshimo or Adario can't do. Xzar has a poor selection of spells and is far more annoying than either Edwin or Robillard (not evil, LN).
My favourite TDD character so far is Adario who, as our friend Obsidian points out, is a pretty lousy thief, but then again he's an assassin. If you need thieving abilities, you should just load him up with Potions of Master Thieving, the Mercykiller ring and other items to buff up his thief skills. Adario has some interesting (if not out right evil; again, he's an assassin, duh!) sidequests.
According to the
TeamBG webiste, there is Kaigan, a LE dwarf Troll Slayer, you can pick up, but I haven't run into him yet.

thank you!

.. in it wasnt hard to seperate khalid and jaheira (etc.) in BG1.. just pick 'em both up.. and kill one you dont like

.. i think i take Adario(cuz you have told me so much good about him.. and cuz Yoshimo wouldnt stay in my party forever

) I found Kagain from Bridge District.. but he's not as good as Korgan.. though he has nice Troll Slayer Axe with him

..
Could someone still reply my question about 6th character? atleast what class he/she should be? .. is there any evil bards in the game(i'd like to have one)..

@HLD,
Adario is outstanding. The sword adario comes with is just wrong. Not to mention a certain short bow available in TDD.
Right now I'm running:
me (Swash/cleric)
mazzy
valygar
adario
nalia
jan
It is a lot of fun ambushing enemies with five people who hide in shadows well. Mazzy is ultra buffed for defense. She waltzes in, all enemies focus on her, and then wham (fireballs, lightning bolts, backstabs). This group is really cleaning house.

How do you mean? Way overpowered?

Adario's short sword (which is incidentally only a +2 weapon), in concert with some bracers he wears, is just plain butt-kicking. However, because he's limited to the armour of a thief sub-class and doesn't have a lot of HP, putting him up front is a very bad idea. Plus, he's a lousy thief, but for backstabbing he's one bad m-f (shut yo mouth!).
Right now, my party is:
Kyra (fighter/mage dual-class)
Minsc
Keldorn
Avaunis (cerebral knight; paladin sub-class)
Adario (assassin)
Viconia
I'm about to finish the Keldorn quest with his family (I always release him and get the XP; I'll still have Avaunis to be my heavy hitter with Carsomyr or other paladin-only 2H-sword). I think I'm going to replace Keldorn with Valygar, do the planar sphere and some of the extra quests, then swap Valygar out for Yoshimo before heading off to Spellhold.
I've had some of the extra TDD maps opened up to me, but the only one I've done is Trollford.
EDIT-Adarios sword is +2, not +1 as I had originally posted.

Sounds like a great challenge character: one strong advantage, and one strong disadvantage.
Are there any other TDD party characters that players feel should be singled out, either for their strengths, or weaknesses?

Yes fable, when I say "his sword is wrong", I simply mean overpowered. I really haven't found any limitations with Adario. I have his HP's consistenly boosted with the girdle of fortitude and with a little party 'defensive harmony', I can his AC down to -5
. So, he's no tank, but he can make a good stand. Plus, I stay loaded with invisiblity potions so he can backstab multiple times if an encounter starts to favor the enemy or if he takes one too many whacks. Once that backstab hits X7, the illithids won't know what hit 'em. I can't wait.
Adario's side quests pose a pretty good challenge as well.

I've done two of Adario's side quests and they're both pretty easy. Xzar and Montaron are wastes of time; both are annoying and they only have two side quests (and one is resurrecting Montaron).
I haven't tried any of the other NPCs, although I read somewhere and Kivan is no where to be found, so if anyone runs into him, please let me know where to find him.

Kivan also appears in ToB, though that brief mini-quest left me with a sour feeling in my mouth. Who wants to see one of your old BG1 comrades abusing the trust of another, ending with the possible death of both?

I never saw Kivan in ToB although I only went through it once. Do you need to have a particular NPC with you to trigger his appearance. Perhaps this would be better answered in the ToB forum???

Now i have 4 characters: Me>Ranger , Viconia>Cleric , Korgan>Berserker , Kalvaras>Assassin ...
Wich Mage Should pick up Xzar or Edwin??

Bytheway>> Kalvaras is pretty funny name cuz VARAS is finnish and means THIEF.

Wow Pinkit, I did not know that. Thanks!!
I love useless little facts like that
Kivan, is indeed, nowhere to be found. I've looked several places, then thought screw it, and got Mazzy.
As always, fable asks leading questions that can lead to much argument and discussion. You should try and get a position on the radio.
Well, Avaunis is a neato kit, with good strength and all around decent stats. You really do miss out on the lay on hands and clerical spells though, the ability to cast chaotic commands 10x a day and dispel illusion 5x is great. Mind blow and feeble mind have benefits too.
Right now, My party is
me (Bladesinger)
Jaheria
Avaunis
Robillard
Mazzy
Adario
Robbies an awesome spellcaster and he comes with a nice ring that gives 100% resistance to cold.
Good wisdom and int scores, can really put the hurt on with certain wpns.
He's got an ac of 2 now if I switch one of his rings to ROP +2. Plus hes neat.
Adario, he starts off with some nice gear, but I managed to loss his shortsword that he starts with. I was some ticked!
Now, hes got an AC of -6 due to Shadow scale.
The only downside to most of TDD NPC's is you don't get the same dialogues. I really missed the quips they all gave before I went after Irenicus.
