I attacked Gaal and then destroyed him the follower and the beholder. My question is, is there access the the lair and if so what did I miss out on by killing the beholder out of its hole? Also I can not seem to get in to the inner santuary(?) Thanks!

Ya, I did this too, you cant get down there. It follows a storyline, and since it's wrecked, you dont get the goodies down below. (That's not meant to sound sexual
)
No Gauntlets of Dex, and no amulet of magic resistance. Not a big thing. (neither was that
)

To be more specific: You won't get the part of Kangaax, who you need to get the ring of the gaax.

you miss out on the dragon slayer halberd (+3 to hit +3 to dmg, +6 against all dragons), the saving grace shield, gaunlets of dex...a beljuril gem...and 50K of XP. That is alot if you play a weak but lvl's up fast char...just my 2 cents

I do believe that the gem is in the pile of clothes by the chain on the wall if that doesn't work I can look at my book sometime if someone else doesn't tell you....
