Is there a way to get the stronghold after you have completed the Keep quest and cleared all the trolls? i was not aware that it had even been offered to my Pc the only thing I recall was an offer the propose marraige. I sthere a way round this or do I need to attempt on a new game??????????

Sorry, she offers you control of the keep, and one of your responses is assuming a marriage of convienance. If you turned her down by saying your not interested, it wasnt an offer of marraige, but she was going to ask you to run the keep as a "fighting" man. Or women.
You have to be a multi single or dual class fighter (or monk) to get the keep, and you cant have any other strongholds before hand. Unless you have the multi strong hold patch.

You are a fighter, fighter sub-class, barbarian, monk or multi-/dual-classed fighter, right? If you are any other class, Nalia will not offer you custody of the D'Arnise Keep; you will get another stronghold based on your class. If you are a multi-/dual-classed fighter and you want a different stronghold (for example, the Planar Sphere if your other class is a mage or sorcerer), you need to turn down the D'Arnise Keep or you won't be offered the second stronghold (unless you have the multi-stronghold "patch").
