Fighter-Mage vs Monk

These two are my favorite classes to play...roleplaying-wise or powergaming-wise. Which is more powerful though? A lvl 12/12 fighter-mage probably wont stand a chance against a lvl 13 monk BUT a lvl 25/25 fighter-mage could just wack the monk (like wacka-mole :D :D :D ). So I place it before you Gamebanshee forumers...which is more powerful...a fighter-mage or a monk...

Another thing for the SK users...I edit my save game (just to change the colors and sometimes add some innate abilities i feel that give my char a more "roleplaying" feel i.e. elf:charm person or animal, cure critical wounds, etc) but everytime i load my game, it crashes and i have to press THE DREADED POWER BUTTON!!!which of course takes it out.... :( :( :(
does anyone have any ideas?! thanks very much

Cheers

if they fight each other. the fighter / mage will easily win (protection from magical weapons). in general i would say the fighter / mage is better (stone skin, mirror image, tensors, improved haste, resist magic (the skill that gives you 100% protection from magic damage)) and he/she also have some very powerful attack spells.

Think your crash may be down to the colour change- i tried to give my character a blue head of hair and the game did not like that at all...

Well maybe its not the colour change as I just tried it again and it worked fine... my bard now has the reddest hair ever :)

It's probably the abilities you've given yourself. Using SK all abilities available are listed, but if you happened to give your character some or the special monsters abilities while you just thought it was the regular charm animal, then it'll crash. I'd suggest you get hte newest shadowkeeper if you haven't got it, as it states just what kind of ability you're giving your character (e.i don't try to give yourself a Demilich howl, or somthing like that).
