rescuing Iomen from asylum?????

I am playing this game for my first time through.
I just recently arrived in spellhold, been captured,
and placed into the gauntlet dungeon by Bodhi,
and met up with Iomen, who of course wants to be
rescued.

My party is:
Main character - Monk
Minsc
Keldorn
Jaheria
Nalia
Aerie

At first, I thought that I would just leave Iomen in
the dungeon, because she's low level, and I figured
she'd find a way out anyway. But, then Jaheria pipes
in saying that she'd rather leave the party than to see
me lose all my self respect and leave my own sister,
whose rescuing is the game's center, in the dungeons
to rot. So, I decided to leave Nalia. Does she make it
out, after I do whatever needs to be done to get out
of the dungeons? I thought about dominating her,
or some other charm to keep her around the party,
which I don't even know will work. Can I get her killed
and pick up her body, then ressurect her later?
I'd rather not leave her behind....
I kind of wanted to finish more of the other quests, before
entering spellhold, which I don't know if I'll escape back
to Athkatla....
Anyways,
thanks,
scott

As far as I know, whoever you leave in spellhold will stay there. A dominated being cannot follow you through a door or off the map. If you kill a party member you cannot pick up their body either... :) So in short, make sure whoever you kick out you are prepared to lose...

that sucks...

who would you leave behind, if you had my party?

Do you have the fighter stronghold? Who is your PC romancing? Out of who you have, I personally would drop Nalia, since Imoen and Aerie are both mages, and Imoen has the thief skills you would lose, and Aerie and Jaheira both have healing abilities. The problem is if your char is romancing Nalia and the fighter stronghold.... :)

I would drop Jaheira since she mouthed off, but that's just me.

I would drop Aerie or Nalia. I hate making those kinds of decisions.

I guess I'll drop off Nalia then. I've already cleared the Keep, I'd like to
go back, cuz I forgot to forge the flail of ages or whatever.

I also have the option of going back to an old save and play through again,
and enter spellhold with only five characters. That way, no one will be lost.

If you are going to redo Spellhold, there is one option that would solve all your problems......it is spoilerish, so let me know if you want to be spoiled and I will tell you

Listen to BS ;) Also, if you have not romanced Nalia and taken on the fighter stronghold...once you have left you cannot return. You will have to forget the flail - as I did the last time through  ;)

Load up a save before you leave for the assylum and take a full party if you want. But by all means include Yoshimo. I will leave the rest for you to discover, but it will solve all your problems as well as provide some interesting surprises. ;) :D

@Ysh.....I am moved by your faith in me ;) :D
