Do you ever get back to the mainland?

If i sail to the asylum, do i ever come back to the mainland? i have finished every mission except for the watchers keep and the two dragons are still alive, so i'm wondering if i continue on, will i ever get the chance to come back and finish them off?

after the asylum you do the underdark quests (looking for irenicus) and then u get out and have to find the ryn lathorn to get into suldanesslar....in Athkatla....most ppl take this time (chap 6) to finish all the tough quests they couldnt do
